Steel and Aluminium Foundry since 1931

The founder of modern industry in Týnec region in the 1930s was the Prague entrepreneur Ing. František Janeček. He built the Metaz aluminium and steel  foundry in Týnec which began castings production in 1931.

He also began the production of JAWA motorcycles and MINOR cars in a former spinning mill that he purchased. František Janeček laid the foundations in the Týnec region for comprehensive engineering and for the manufacturing of motor vehicles, cars and motorcycles. This promising development was interrupted by World War II. Production in Janecek’s factories in Týnec and Brodce had to focus on weapons manufacturing.
